Be the change you want to see in the world. Join our Board of Directors!
At Gender Justice Action, we fight for a world where everyone can thrive regardless of their gender, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
That’s a unified vision we share with our 501(c)3 sister organization, Gender Justice, which focuses on legal advocacy and public education. In turn, Gender Justice Action advances bold policy and political action to protect bodily autonomy, defend reproductive and gender-affirming care access, and ensure every Minnesotan has access to equal rights and equal opportunities to thrive.
As state legislatures across the country churn out harmful policies to deny full personhood and autonomy to women and LGBTQ+ people, Gender Justice Action is helping hold the line in Minnesota. We’re fighting to enshrine equality into our state constitution via the Minnesota ERA, elect gender equity champions to Minnesota leadership positions, and block any attempts at rolling back our hard-won progress. And we want to invite you to bring your passion, insights, and creativity to this critical work.
Gender Justice Action is energetically seeking 2 new board members to join our stellar Board of Directors. The volunteer board provides fiduciary oversight of our organization, mission-based leadership, fundraising support, strategic governance, and advice to the Executive Director.
If you’re interested and want to learn more, join us at one of our two upcoming meet-and-greets. We’ll share more about the organization and what it’s like to be a board member, and you can ask current board and staff any of your burning questions. Register for one of our meet-and-greets in-person or via Zoom today!
